A: So, Lauren, I just wanted to talk to you quickly about our new customer support representative, Jason Huntley.

「连读技巧讲解」

1. I don’t think he’s a good fit for our company. 分析：don't和think连读时，don’t结尾的t /t/ 进行略读处理，一起读作 /doʊn(t)/ /θɪŋkˈ/；he’s a good fit四个词之间有2个连读：he’s a是辅元连读，一起读作 /hiz/ /ə/；good fit是辅辅连读，good结尾的/d/音和后面的/f/音相遇，二者都是辅音，所以读后不读前，故一起读作/ɡʊ/ /fɪt/。

2. But that's not the only thing...分析：but和that’s连读时，but结尾的t/t/进行略读处理，一起读作 /bʌ/ /ðæts/。not和the连读时，not结尾的t/t/也进行略读处理，一起读作 /nɑ/ /ðə/。注意此处还有一个only，所以the的读音变成 /ði/。特殊词汇强调：only /英ˈəʊnli, 美ˈoʊnli /。

4. impresstransitive verb (vt.) 作及物动词① (arouse respect in) 使钦佩实用搭配：to be impressed by or with sb./sth.对某人/某事物印象深刻原文：Didn’t you just tell me last week how impressed you were with his attitude?你上周不是告诉我你对他的态度印象深刻吗？例句：We were greatly impressed by his footballing skills. 他踢足球的技巧让我们赞叹不已。

②(imprint) 压印实用搭配：to impress a pattern on (the surface of) a plate 在盘子（的表面）上压印图案 to impress a seal in the wax 在蜡上盖印章

intransitive verb (vi.) 作不及物动词留下好印象 例句：He only did it to impress.他这么做只是为了哗众取宠。His efforts failed to impress.他的这部电影没有引起注意。

「口语表达讲解」

1. bottom line (decisive factor) 关键英英释义：the underlying or ultimate outcome or criterion潜在或最终结果或标准例句：If you don't make a profit, you go out of business: that is the bottom line.如果不盈利，你就会破产，这是关键。

2. a good fit （suited to someone or something）适合某人或某事例句：I know that this company wants employees who are conscientious and committed. That's why I feel that I would be a good fit here.我知道这家公司需要认真负责和敬业的员工。这就是为什么我觉得我很适合这里。
