‍A: So, are we all ready to go?

B: Yup, I think so. The car’s packed; we have munchies and music in, and the map’s in the car. ‍

‍A: Did you get the camera?

B: Got it! Did you fill up the tank?

A: Yup, it’s all set.

重要发音技巧

欢迎回来，让我们先看下连读。

连读：辅音 元音 如果相邻两词中的前一个词是以辅音结尾，后一个词是以元音开头，这就要将辅音与元音拼起来连读。 1. fill up 原文中：Did you fill up the tank?你油箱加满了吗？

2. all our 原文中：We’ve got all our bases covered. 我们所有东西都准备好了。

连读：辅音 半元音

如果前一个词是以辅音结尾，后一个词是以半元音开头，此时也要连读。

There’re some interesting phrases and vocabulary items here and I want to talk about some of them. 这里还有一些有趣的短语和词汇，我想跟大家说说其中一些。

2. packed [pækt] adj. 塞满的；v. 把……打包；包装（pack 的过去式和过去分词）举例：The car is packed.

3. forget [fə(r)ˈɡet] v. 忘记；遗忘举例：No matter where you are, don't forget how much I love you.不管你在哪里，不要忘了我有多么爱你。

4. bathroom [ˈbɑːθˌruːm] n. 浴室；卫生间举例：If I had to do it again, the only thing I would change would be to have my own bathroom.如果要再次入住的话，唯一的不同之处就是，我要拥有自己的浴室。

实用口语表达

Okay, so, we have several great phrases for you today. Let’s take a look at the first one.好的，今天我们为大家准备了几个很棒的短语，让我们来看看第一个。

1. road trip 自驾游Okay, so, road trips are really fun and interesting, right?好吧，自驾游真的很好玩很有趣，对吧？Yeah, really popular. I’ve been on a million road trips.非常受欢迎，我已经去过很多次的自驾游了。 例如：Road trips are great. You get to get in a car with your family and drive on a vacation. 自驾游很棒，你可以和家人一起开着车去度假。

2. The car is packed. 车辆已经装满。So, when your car is packed it means that... everything you need is inside the car. 所以，当你的车已经装满的时候，这意味着......你需要的东西都在车里。例如：The car is packed, we should go.车辆已经装满，我们可以走啦。

3. fill up the tank 把油箱加满也可以说成put gas in the gas tank 把汽油加到油箱里。例如：I can’t fill up the tank, I only have five dollars.我不能把油箱加满，我只有 5 美元。

4. pit stop 中途停车It’s a quick stop for you to get some gas, food, or go to the bathroom. 这是为了去加油，买零食，或者上厕所而中途停车。Yeah, a pit stop, a quick stop. 是的，就是中途停下车。例如：Make a pit stop.停一下车。

5. All ready to go. 一切准备就绪。例如：It’s time to leave, are you all ready to go？是时候离开了，你准备好走了吗？All ready to go.也可以换种方式去说：It is prepared. 它准备好了。It is ready. 它准备好了。 6. We’ve got all our bases covered. 我们已经准备好了。This is a really great phrase and it’s really useful, right? 这是一个非常好的短语，非常有用，对吧？例如：Okay, I have my keys, wallet and passport. Looks like I have all my bases covered. 好的，我带了钥匙、钱包和护照。看来我已经准备好了。

You can use this in many situations. If I’m at work I could say “Alright, we’ve got a really good marketing plan, we’ve got all our bases covered”.你可以在很多场合使用这个短语。如果我在工作，我会说“好吧，我们有一个很好的市场计划，我们已经准备好了”。
